Old ultraviolence

"There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs*, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks** what to do with the evening. The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence. "

A film, again, and what's more, I haven't really wanted to see this one either, too afraid of the agressivity it contains . Well, if it's been the same reason holding you back from it, don't fret, it is not even scary for our generation - too "mild", I guess. That is not to say that I did not like it: I liked it all the better! Even though you are not supposed to like the main character I have found him really cool and was actually worried what might happen to him. (According to various analyses, you are supposed to dislike him: I am happy that no psychologist reads this.)

If you watch it in the original version, be careful to have subtitles and your knowledge of Russian with you: the protagonist talks in Nadsat, invented by Burgess, the writer of the original book.

Are you sure about the psychologist?
In their place - if I found this blog - I'd teach from it :D
