Find a title!

It's been a very long time since I want to post this picture that I took last year in France. The situation of the dog just struck me when I was walking by the shop so I took a photo - and they actually made the dog leave afterwards because the shopkeeper saw me taking the picture (my fault!) I couldn't find a title for it, so I was postponing putting it here - now it's your turn, as I couldn't come up with anything good. Prizes as usual :-)

Sorry guys...

...gramma has no time to make you pancakes this weekend, she just took off at the 100 m dash.
Or is she still in the middle of her 10 km run? This women on the above picture is 78 years old, and she did the 10k under an hour. I appreciate these people so much, and I don't even hope that I will be something like this when I'm old...
Anyways, what would be your sport for the golden years? (for me, it is definitely NOT running!)
Pictures were taken by me on the Canadian Masters Championship this year.

Destination (un)known

Since I am not likely to give the world a new little blogger anytime soon - unlike most of you guys :-) - I feel the need to fill my empty life with useless stuff such as work, dancing, cinema, writing etc. But it is not enough, oh no: I realised how badly I need travelling (no, being an expat is not travelling. Going home is not travelling either.)

I was cooking this evening and re-listened to one of my old-time favourites: I love it not so much for its musical qualities (this is the first song of the album) but for the what it was for a few days - a soundtrack for one of the best journeys I have ever made: 36 hours on Transbalkan from Budapest to Thessaloniki and back.

And this is how I came to the conclusion that it is time to realise a long-time dream: see Lake Baikal!

...after arriving here:

so what do I mean? Transsiberia, of course!!! Here is how I'll get there:

Hey, tarelle, say, are you in?

See what this is? - fourth try

This was not taken underground, this was taken in France, outdoors, on a lovely, sunny day. It is not obscene, it is not bushes and a walk-path with white gravel. The main subject of the photograph is not a park or another spectacular point in Phosphor, there is no black coat neither a cup of coffee, it is not in the Jardin de Luxembourg, and no Lumbricus has been hurt during the shooting, which did not take place in the eastern slopes of the Pyrenees, and definitely not in a washroom either. The jury is biased and thirsty. What is this?
A last hint: I have a bigger ego than a Lumbricus and I have voted for lynx' poll. Oh no! his was the hint for another contest: "how am I?"

Poll!

I have found this cute little feature and because I had nothing better to do I created one for a start. You are welcome to make new ones :-) Oh and very important: you can vote as many times as you want to - so according to the weather, if you wish. Soooooo:

Do you want to go home?
Not really
Sort of
All the time
Leave me alone
What are you talking about?

See what this is? - third try

Lynx has made great proposals and I officially announce she has already won a bottle. A second bottle is still to be offered to the one who will come with the real answer. Question remains: What is the main subject the photography?
A third hint: it was a lovely, sunny day.

See what this is? - second try

We had interesting suggestions, and very interesting, too: either quite indistinct or surprisingly precise. Now for the second slice:
Any new idea?

And since you were so inventive for the first try, here is a second hint for you: the photograph was taken outdoors.

See what this is?

Dear guests at VCB,

I propose you this small contest before going to sleep (before I go to sleep). Here is a small detail of a photography. Who will be first to identify the main subject the photography?
If no one can find within two days, I'll show a larger detail. A first hint: the photograph was taken in France.

As usual, the prize of the contest is a bottle of whatever you want at the RCB (the "Real Castro Bisztro"). Who'll draw first?

Anyobody interested?

I have just found this ad on the net, you might consider moving in:

Date Posted: Mon, September 03 2007, 10:48:24

Flats to rent:
Separated kitchen, room of dwarf separated, living room.
Equipped very well (micro-waves, tv, internet…).
Very calms and cordial

I mean, who could resist a flat where you don't have to live together with the dwarfs? They are ugly and smelly and never wash the dishes. Contact me for the phone number, if interested.
