I found a song of Cseh Tamás - better saying it came to my mind - with the title "If only in 10 years it wasn't this song". text
It is on "Fehér babák takarodója'"
* we got succesfully to University of Budapest
* I met one of you in Kassa
* one helped me to fill the data in my Index and stuent documents
* when we sweared to be faithful to the spirit of ELTE .... Heyho :)
* and we knew we'll make science - and have a life which is NOT like those there we saw before

We were exchanging emails about this with nanaimo about a month ago - she suggested we do a pilgrimige to the "Stork Castle" (note to other readers: that's where we had to register at the beginning of the academic year)
N.B. - I was not there for the "vows" so in consequence I do not have to be faithful to any spirit whatsoever :-)
How about going to Kassa to have a Turkish Coffee on the lawn of the Park as a celebration? Or maybe we could shift it to the Jardin du Luxembourg? ;-)
Of course. Anyway we'll do it ;)
Ehm.
I will spend approximately 10 days on the old continent this year.
Could we localize our activities within one country? That would make my visit much-much more time-efficient.
And. Jardin du Luxembourg is very stylish and same time lovely, but still; it has nothing to do with our 10th anniversary.
Lets go to Erdos then.
Or just simply visit Zboray?
YESS, now I know. When I will be there, the final exam of Zoology for the second year bio-student will still be on, I am sure. Second and third attempts, I mean. We could go there and entertain the students with our stories (tequila at 10 am and stuff..) How about that?
Yes! Good! Simply we could just introduce ourselves, talk about our lives and they will run away screaming to give up any kind of biology studies and do something else :P
I still don't see what is so frightening about our lives. I like mine. Actually, I am very happy with it!
Sorry nana, but I won't be in Budapest when you come back for the summer-break: I have to go to China :-p
What is frightening about it?
We'll make a test: you sit peacefully smiling how nice your life is, and I will suddenly drop keywords to see your reaction, after many happy years..
zbé
or ...
labolkál :D
That's just an early childhood traumatism. My shrink and I are already working on it. :-)
Oh do you really want to get rid of it?
One of my favorite stories is the one when you got an extrasystole from the mere name of Zbe.
I agree with lynx, what we are doing is what they hope for...imagine, Dr. i., how big thing is for them to have a PhD, a scientific job, to visit so many countries or work at some respected university.
And we still have each other and other important persons too.
I think we would be the positive example, we should organize a road-show to promote scientific engagement.
Seriously. I just can't feel sorry for ourselves.
